Brazil wins the World Cup
Ronaldo scores 2 goals against Germany

Well, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Brazil easily defeated Germany in the finals of the Soccer World Cup 2002. Final score Brazil 2, Germany nil. They have been a great team from the start with stars such as Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and goal keeper Marcos. They really made it look easy in the second half against Germany after at least 2 great saves by the German goal keeper Oliver Kahn. Kahn has been a really good goal keeper this year and Ronaldo had a tough time in the first half of the game trying to get the ball past him to the net to score. In the 2nd half, a small mistake by Kahn cost him big when he let a rebound loose after a hard hitting kick from Rivalod. Ronaldo CelebratingThe first half was very well played by the German team with excellent defending, a few good offensive attacks and over all possession of the ball. In the second half, however, the Brazilians got their act together and played superbly, with Ronaldo cashing in on 2 goal scoring opportunities. In yesterday’s game for the 3rd place, Turkey beat Korea 3 goals to 2 in a very exciting match between the two underdogs that have made it farther than their wildest imaginations in this year’s worldcup. Ilhan and Hakan celebratingTurkey’s Hakan Sukur made history by scoring the fastest ever goal in the Soccer Worldcup history, at the 10th or the 11th second of the start of the match. Ilhan followed with 2 goals of his own. Imagine the parties in Brazil now. And imagine the joy in Turkey: after losing to Brazil, they win a spectacular game against Korea. Korean players played very well this year and no one would criticize their ability and enthusiasm. They are sure to come out a powerful team in the worldcups to come, if they continue to do what they’ve done this year. The Turkish team has proved themselves as an emerging power in professioanl worldcup soccer, particularly with only conceding one goal against Brazil in the semi finals. Also, a great performance by the Senagalese team until they were defeated by Turkey in the quarter finals with a great goal by Ilhan Mansiz in extra time. This world cup has created a lot of excitements, maybe more so because of the huge upsets caused by Korea. It all started when the Senagalese beat France in the opening match of the World Cup. And it was more exhilarating than ever after that…!

A Few New Features
Search & Chat…

I’ve been shopping around for new features to add to my blog this past couple of days. And I’ve found and added a search box and a chat box. Hopefully with the search feature, you’ll be able to quickly locate a certain topic that I discussed (if, hopefully, it was interesting enough for you to want to read it again). And I hope to generate some interactivity with the chat feature, so we can all discuss something at the same time. I’ll be happy to assist any of you in adding these valuable features to your own blogs as well. Just let me know (they’re very easy to add). I will be adding a few more features soon. I hope to not make this page too cluttered. I will try to redesign some parts of the layout so its a little easier to read. After I’m somewhat happy with the design and layout I’ll concentrate on the content.

New Additions to my FAVORITE BLOGS
More worthwile reading – yay!

I have just added some new blogs to the list of my favorites. Hope you all will check ‘em all out and enjoy them as much as I enjoyed finding them and reading them. Its amazing how many people are blogging away these days. I just recently started (perhaps a couple of months ago) and its so addictive. It seems like I’ve been looking for this for a while. I had tried an online diary service, where I could write whenever I wanted, but it was kinda lame so I quit that before I even started being serious about it. This blog this is just amazingly convenient to publish your thoughts right away and get comments from people all over easily. The Internet has come a long way, hasn’t it?
