NHL Update: Toronto 2 – Philadelphia 2

Tampa Bay defeated Montreal last night to win their series 4-0, thereby reaching the Eastern Conference finals. San Jose is ahead in their series against Colorado 3-1. Calgary and Detroit are tied at 2 a piece. And the Leafs played exceptionally well tonight to tie their series with the Flyers 2-2. Sundin was incredible with his two goals, almost getting a hat-trick. Boy, is he ever in great form this season! If the Leafs keep playing the way they’re playing right now, they may just win the Stanley Cup this year! That’d be totally awesome, dudes!

the Toronto Maple Leafs! The Maple Leafs looked really good tonight as they beat the Flyers 4-1 in Toronto. The first period was score less and it doidn’t look very promising for the Leafs. Four goals came in the 2nd half, three from Toronto and one from Philadelphia. The final period saw another beautiful goal to seal the deal. What a wild match to watch. Hockey fever is on and I’m loving every minute of it. I’m never really too concerned about Hockey except during the play-offs when it gets exciting. I hope Toronto goes on to win the Stanley Cup this year, even though Tampa Bay and San Jose are looking very sharp these days indeed! Toronto, please win the next match as well!

The Maple Leafs were pretty disappointing against the Flyers tonight. The Flyers have dominated the series so far and made the Leafs look really bad. The next two games are in Toronto. Let’s hope the Leafs get their act together and kick some serious Flyers butt in TO.

Ice Cream Galore

In recent days, I’ve been struggling with ice cream. I should know better, but I just can’t resist good ice cream. I should’ve been strong and not bought the ice cream in the first place. When its in the freezer, its just impossible to avoid. I enjoy a good fruit yogurt, but ice cream is something special. I lost about 30 pounds due to gastrointestinal troubles a couple of months ago and an additional 10 pounds during my trip to Pakistan. I need to be very cautious now that I’ve lost the love handles in order to keep them off. No more ice cream!

Toronto Wins Game 7

Toronto beat Ottawa in an exciting game 7 finish to the series, final score 4-1! It was a very good game to watch from the beginning as Toronto scored 3 goals in the first period. With tonight’s exciting win, Toronto makes it to the 2nd round of the playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers in the Semi Finals. The first game should be on Thursday (April 22) in Philadelphia. I’d love to see Toronto make it to the finals and snatch the Stanley Cup in this year! They seem to be in good form, particularly with Belfour’s solid goal tending thus far.
