While hurrying up to go to the masjid for maghrib yesterday, I slipped and fell down a short flight of stairs. Luckily there was no serious damage done, alhamdulillah, but man does it hurt still! It is still quite cold here in Calgary and that doesn’t help either. Your prayers please, thank you
As soon as I’d fallen, I uttered “Alhamdulillah” (all praises are due to Allah) in sharp contrast to what I recall from a few years ago when I cursed shamelessly following an auto accident. Granted that was more serious than this fall, I still think its a huge improvement. I do swear occasionally, but try to avoid is as much as possible and inshaAllah one day soon will stop completely, amen!

Ooh lala, yummy!

Can’t seem to get used to the weather here. It changes almost every week or so. It was wonderfully warm last week. We even played tennis outdoors on Sunday. Then it got cold (and I mean cold, okay) and has been getting worse. Its supposed to get warm from Monday onwards. What entertainment?! So winter has been here for a week and we’re expecting some more summer. For a while, anyways.

Grand Canyon: on our growing list of places to visit.

Summer has arrived in Calgary a bit early this year or so it seems. I mean, it was threatening to snow just last week! I’ll be posting some pictures on the Photo blog soon, inshaAllah!
