I just found out about Magnify.net from the TechCrunch blog and immediately fell in love. This is a phenominally useful service for anyone who is a video junkie. Granted most web video sites such as Google’s YouTube have personal favorites page where all the videos that you upload or you mark as favorites can reside, there is no way to incorporate videos from say Revver or MySpace or other video sites. This is where Magnify comes in. You can create a channel (check out the salambazar channel) where you can upload videos of your own and import video content from youtube or google video or yahoo video or others very easily. Just when you thought the web video space was saturated with so many services, something this wonderful shows up. Ain’t the Internet just freakin’ awesome?

This news is HUGE for anyone that works with SAP products. Shai’s been a leading figure in SAP’s NetWeaver platform. NetWeaver has been SAP’s direction for the past few years so this can’t be very good news. Read the farewell blog by Shai on SAP’s Developer Network web site.

We’ve started to get some warmer weather these past few days in Calgary, alhamdulillah! Seeing the amount of snow we got this year, the feeling was we might just skip summer this year or something. But no sooner had the snow melted, construction zone signs started popping up every where. Calgary is a booming city and population is increasing fast. And its amazing to see that the construction started as soon as weather permitted it. I even wondered whether the construction signs were there all along and hidden behind the snow and have now revealed themselves once the icicles have thawed away. It was a beautiful day today – its supposed to snow a little over this weekend again..!
