Oracle recently acquired BEA for US$ 8.5 Billion. Oracle’s big acquisitions have included Siebel Systems and Hyperion Systems for 5.9 and 3.3 billions of US dollars respectively.

I just got to try Sprout Builder, an online flash based tool to create professional looking presentation widgets, banners and more. They offer an impressive array of tools for creating web based widgets featuring audio, video, image, rss feeds, charts, calendars, timers and more. And the tools are so easy and intuitive. They even support integration into social networking web sites such as Facebook and MySpace. I was able to create a news feed widget for the blog in 2 minutes. This product is sure to become very popular very soon.
